Naples, FL (November 18, 2021) – The Florida League of Cities presented Councilman Gary Price with the Mayor John Land Years of Service Award. Named in honor of long-time Apopka Mayor, John Land, who served his city for more than 60 years, the Mayor John Land Years of Service Award honors elected municipal officials for their extensive years of dedicated public service. The focus is a city, town, or village’s legislative body members who have reached 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, or 50 years of municipal service. Recognized officials receive a framed resolution and a lapel pin that reflects their years of dedicated municipal service.
“Council Member Gary Price has dedicated the last two decades to serving the City of Naples and its residents as an elected official,” said League Ambassador Eryn Russell. “The Florida League of Cities is proud to present Council Member Price with this award as he celebrates this 20-year milestone, and we thank him for his commitment to public service.”
Councilman Price has served the City of Naples since 2001. The City of Naples is honored that his dedication and unselfish commitment to the City of Naples’ community and staff, through gracious and outstanding leadership, has been recognized with this prestigious award. “It has been an honor to serve Naples since 2001. It is hard to believe it has been 20 years! I have seen a lot of wonderful things happen in the City over that period of time. My family and I are committed to continuing to make Naples a special place. My hope is that the community will continue to preserve its charm and character. Our family will certainly be making that commitment,” said Councilman Gary Price.
