Gary Price has been serving his clients and their families for 30 years. For our client families, he is our in-house specialist in family governance, real estate, governmental and community affairs, strategic planning, and mediation. Through his broad network and experience, Gary helps our client families get expedited answers to complex real estate, alternative investment issues, and illiquid asset investments.

Gary’s public service for the past 20 years consecutively for the City of Naples started in 2001 when he was appointed to the Planning Advisory Board. He was appointed to a seat on the Naples City Council in September 2005, then elected to the same office in February 2006, 2010, and now for third term in 2018. Gary served as the Chairman of the Naples Pension Board for eight years.  Gary has also served on many charitable boards including The Ronald McDonald House of Southwest Florida, the Boys and Girls Club of Naples, United Way, and the Naples Art Association.  In January 2013, the Governor and Cabinet of the State of Florida appointed Gary to the State Board of PLGAC , where he served for four years.  He is a Leadership Florida Class XXXII Alumni. He attended Ohio State University where he earned a BSBA in Real Estate and Urban Analysis. Gary completed the exclusive Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School. For the past 15 years, he has maintained his qualifications as an instrument rated pilot. Gary has been married to his wife Kim for 30 years and they have two children.

Timothy Cartwright

Timothy Cartwright specializes in closely held businesses and alternative assets. Closely held and family businesses often represent a significant percentage of a family’s net worth. Tim leverages his extensive transactional experience to guide an intentional succession planning process required for the legacy and illiquid nature of this asset. Tim coaches and mentors our entrepreneurial families with his unique ability to distill complex, often time sensitive, issues into elemental components creating a simple and executable action plan. Across the expanse of alternative assets, Tim has deep experience in private equity, venture capital, and early and seed stage investing. He is the founder of the Tamiami Family of Angel Funds, the first ever member managed Angel Funds in Southwest Florida.

Tim started his career with Arthur Andersen rising quickly to Senior Consultant. Shortly thereafter, Tim recognized a void in the enterprise software market and founded Benchmark Solutions, Inc., a supply chain consulting company. Seven years later, he sold Benchmark Solutions and launched an internet trading exchange called By-Product Interactive, Inc.

On February 1, 2021, By-Products Interactive was acquired by Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC (LON:ERM). In 2006, Compass Advisory Group, an M&A Consultancy that Tim started in 2002, merged with Magnus Capital Management to co-found Fifth Avenue Family Office.

Mr. Cartwright recently completed an 11-year term as a member of the Florida Gulf Coast University’s Foundation Board finishing as Chair of the Board. At fiscal year close, the endowment reached a balance of $129MM recording a return of 30.51% for the fiscal year. Tim is chairman of Tamiami Angel Funds, the largest Angel Fund in the state of Florida, a director of the Florida Venture Forum, and co-founder of the Southwest Florida Regional Technology Partnership. As a passionate supporter of early childhood development, Tim has also served on the board of Golisano C’MON and chaired its Strategic Planning Committee, which launched an expansion of the originally targeted age bracket.

Tim attended the University of Wisconsin graduating with a BS in Economics – Math Emphasis and earned an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Northwestern University (Kellogg Graduate School of Management). He is a Leadership Florida Class XXXV graduate and a regional advocate for new technologies and economic diversification.

Tim enjoys coaching, boating, and living an active lifestyle. His wife, Amy, and their three children have called Naples home since 2003.

Susi Kimball

Client Services

Susi Kimball specializes in fund and foundation administration, tax coordination, bill payment services, and marketing. In addition to being our resident client services specialist, she is currently a fund administrator for the Tamiami Angel Funds, as well as the Adrenaline Venture Fund, where she excels at maintaining a steady hand on the oversight of 120 investors and 40 early stage portfolio companies. Susi is the steward of the client welcoming process, managing the discovery of important documents and coordinating numerous client needs.

Susi has held several professional roles in the banking industry with responsibility for investor relations, public relations, and marketing, as well as spokesperson. Susi has also worked directly with a variety of small and large businesses in her previous capacity as senior business relationship manager with the Economic Development Council of Collier County.

Susi studied Business Administration at Southwestern Illinois College and Hodges University. She is very active in the Naples community she has called home for over 30 years.

Susi supports her passion for entrepreneurship by serving on the Florida Gulf Coast University Institute for Entrepreneurship Advisory Board and participating in the Florida Venture Forum and Angel Capital Association. She and her husband, Andy, have three children and enjoy various outdoor activities and sports in their free time.

Kyle Shoemaker

Kyle Shoemaker joined Fifth Avenue Family Office in his role as Portfolio Manager, he specializes in investment portfolio design and management, estate planning implementation, tax coordination, and performance reporting.

After spending nearly, a decade with Fidelity Investments, serving in roles ranging from the trade desk to private wealth management, Kyle is no stranger to the world of finance. During his time with Fidelity, he developed his aptitude and love for building lasting relationships with clients. This fueled a desire to join a family office environment to be more directly involved in creating successful long-term outcomes with entrepreneurial families.

Kyle graduated from Elon University in North Carolina, earning a BSBA in finance and economics. He was also a member of Elon’s lacrosse team.

Outside of the office you will find Kyle on the field coaching Naples’ rising lacrosse stars and enjoying the Florida sunshine with his college sweetheart and wife, Berkeley, and their son.
